Meet Frank. Nearly 30 years of honest work.
Frank has been a mechanic his entire adult life. What started as a passion for figuring out how things work became a career, and what became a career became a community institution on Oakdale Ave.
At A & C Auto Clinic, you deal with Frank directly — no service advisors, no runaround. He'll listen to your car, take it for a drive if he needs to, and tell you exactly what's going on.
He's old-school in the best way. Frank diagnoses problems by sound and feel, drawing on three decades of experience before he ever reaches for a computer. When he recommends a repair, it's because you actually need it.
Customers come back year after year — some for 10, 15, even 20 years. Regulars stop by just to say hi. That's not an accident. That's what happens when people trust you.

Pre COVID I rolled (literally) to A&C Auto with a huge screw stuck in an almost deflated tire. I had my young children in the car and I needed to get the tire patched asap. The lifts were full and everyone was busy. Frank immediately came out to inspect my tire and went to work removing the obstruction and patching the tire. Frank could have charged me $$$ for this emergency patch job but he did not, instead charging me the regular fee. I appreciate this man and his honesty.

I have a custom Toyota Tacoma that needed a new clutch. A & C Auto Clinic wasn't afraid of the customizations I did (converted to manual transmission and 4x4) and did a great job installing the clutch. I requested all Toyota OEM parts and they were able to order/receive the parts that same day. They showed me the old clutch and the new parts (in Toyota packaging) before reassembly. Now the clutch is buttery-smooth and feels like it will last a long time. I got the truck back the next day.

They seem to be able to diagnose and fix most problems within 24 hours. If we have an emergency, they can take the vehicle and get a diagnosis, and an accurate estimate, to me within a couple of hours. I've been impressed with the quality of their service, the accuracy of their estimates, and the skill of their mechanics. Having had a rough couple of years trying to find the right people, I think we might have got there, finally!
